About Midget Campers

Midget Campertrailers started it's existence after a dream to create a compact camping system for cyclists became a reality.

In 1998, Troy O'Bree, the founder of Midget Campertrailers Pty Ltd, began the development process after a cycling expidition he was on with one of his great buddies, went horribly wrong. After spending five nights in the Snowy Mountains on the eastern seaboard of Australia, it became apparent that there needed to be a system available for cyclists that would allow them to travel light, maintain a tidy presence on the road, and provide an opportunity for the rider to have a bed, off the gound, that could be set up in minutes.

The resulting process lasted until 2006, when their first product, the Bushtrekka, was made commercially available.

Since that time, Midget have expanded their range to include the TrailRat, a smaller, more versatile and user friendly package. This trailer takes compact and lightweight camping to a new level.

Our latest innovation is the new and improved kiddy trailer-bike. This innovation will be available in the early stages of 2009.

Additional to our commitments to see our product lines available to the world market, we also have the privelage of working with a number of other companies for their Australian interests. We are proud to be working close with Wisper bikes and KampRite, whose products are featured on this site.
